FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 210-42205-340-2 (Lake Enterprise Fund/Grounds Maintenance/Golf Course Maintenance) in the amount not to exceed $28,405.00. Idwo tej Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Three vendors submitted quotations as noted below. Harrell's LLC submitted the lowest responsive and responsible quote. Harrell's, LLC. $28,405.00 Winfield Solutions, LLC $30,166.80 BWI Companies, Inc. $30,360.00 This purchase is for 23 tons of a 42-0-0 fertilizer for the entire golf course except for the greens. This is a season long, slow release type mix and will be applied once, which replaces the normal practice of applying fertilizer three times per season. The benefits of using this fertilizer includes providing a steady supply of nutrients to the grass throughout the season and from an operational standpoint, reduces the labor required to apply fertilizer from three times to one time per year. This will result in the reduction of time where portions of the golf course are closed. 4/1/2015 4:17:14 PM Approximately 23 public entities will utilize this contract including Tarrant County. In addition, in case of fuel shortages, the contract guarantees that the cooperative agencies will continue to receive deliveries. All vendors have agreed to renew with no change in pricing schedule.
