APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST
FOR QUOTE FOR POLICE TAHOE EQUIPMENT
City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for quote for
Police Tahoe equipment from Wildfire Truck & Equipment Sales, LTD.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds for this purchase are available in account 325-48910-209-15-0038 (Motor
Vehicles) in the amount not to exceed $26,604.20.
Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and
advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Three vendors submitted
quotations as noted below:
Wildfire Truck & Equipment Sales, LTD. $26,604.20
Mainstreet Installers $28,123.04
Siddons Martin Emergency Group $28,638.31
Wildfire Truck & Equipment Sales, LTD. submitted the lowest responsive and
responsible quote.
This purchase is for the emergency lighting, partitions and police equipment to up -fit the
three new Police Tahoes that were approved in the FY 2015 Vehicle Replacement
Budget.
Staff recommends approval.
