HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 15 - SU13-01 Verizon Wireless ExtensionMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER SCOTT WILLIAMS, DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR 181:01:41911111[el SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF SPECIAL USE SU13-01 VERIZON WIRELESS RECOMMENDATION: Staff has received a request from Zone Systems requesting a one-year extension to their previously approved Special Use Permit SU13-01 to allow for a 100 -foot monopole for cellular antennas and cellular communications ground equipment to expire on November 19, 2015. Special Use Request SU13-01 was originally considered and approved at the November 19, 2013 joint public hearing. The site is located at 2501 William D. Tate Avenue and platted as Lot 1 R2A, Block 1 R1, Classic Hummer Addition. ZONE SYSTEMS, INC. March 18, 2015 Honorable Mayor William Tate Grapevine City Council 200 S. Main Grapevine, TX 76051 RE: Grapevine File No. SU13-01 Verizon Wireless Classic Pre -Owned 2501 William D. Tate Dear Mayor and Council: Verizon Wireless plans to locate a mobile telephone monopole cell tower facility on the Classic Chevrolet Preowned property. The City Plan Commission and City Council approved the SUP. Classic has completed its work on the property. The Verizon cell site is located in the middle of the auto dealer property and ready for construction. Verizon Wireless did not get its building permit in the required one year time frame. Verizon Wireless is now prepared to get its permits for construction. By this letter Verizon Wireless requests a one year extension for application for its building permit. Thank you for your patience in this matter. Verizon Wireless plans to begin construction very soon after obtaining its required city permits. Please contact me if you have any questions.
