HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 20 - Cabin Housekeeping ServicesMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: APRIL 21, 2015 SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF RFB 425-2015 ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR CABIN HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the award of RFB 425-2015 as an annual contract to Pure Service Corporation as the primary and ACBMS International Group as the secondary for cabin housekeeping services at The Vineyards Campground and Cabins. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 119-44540-312-9 (Professional Services) in an estimated annual amount of $70,000.00. BACKGROUND: Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The bid advertisement was posted in the Fort Worth Star Telegram on February 19 and 26, 2015. There were 479 invitations sent out through the eBid Procurement system with 23 vendors downloading and viewing the RFB. There were 8 bids received as noted below. The amounts bid are based off the history of services required and may increase or decrease annually. Pure Service Corporation $51,905.00 ACBMS, LLC $53,030.00 Global Building Maintenance, Inc. $58,420.00 Cox Cleaning LLC $61,455.00 TCB Landscaping, Inc. $63,656.00 Silver Star Contractors $66,500.00 Member's Building Maintenance, LLC $67,525.31 Oriental Building Services, Inc. $70,000.00 Based on the evaluation of the bids by the Parks and Recreation and Purchasing staff, Pure Service Corporation is the lowest and ACBMS International Group is the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contract is for an initial one-year period with four, one-year renewal options. 4/14/2015 3:36:13 PM The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for cabin housekeeping services at The Vineyards Campground and Cabins. Awarding a primary and secondary contractor will help mitigate issues that may occur due to the nature and fluctuation of demand based on season and occupancy of a 365 day per year operational facility.
