SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ADOPT-AN-AREA AGREEMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks& Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve Adopt-
An-Area agreements with Legoland Discovery Center/SeaLife Aquarium for Rockledge
Park and with Vineyard Dental for Champagne Boulevard. Copies of the agreements are
attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-An-Area signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of the
signage for this is approximately $150 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The proposed agreements are for a period of two years and require the applicants to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
approved the agreements at their June 21, 2012 meeting. The Board and staff
recommend approval of the agreements.
