A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE RATIFICATION OF STAFF
ACTION TO PURCHASE ELECTRICAL PEDESTALS FOR
MAIN STREET FESTIVALS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is in need of electrical pedestals to be used
during City sponsored festivals; and
WHEREAS, Electrical Materials Company can deliver the pedestals within the time
frame required for the September 2009 festival; and
WHEREAS, in order to insure delivery of the pedestals, City Staff placed an order
for the following:
62 Each 60 Amp Un-metered Pedestals $157.00/Ea.
62 Each 100 Amp Un-metered Pedestals $198.00/Ea.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine ratifies Staff action to
issue a purchase order to Electrical Materials Company in a total amount not to exceed
$22,010.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the contract and purchase.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of August, 2009.
