HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2007-060 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-60 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF DRINKING FOUNTAINS; DETERMINING THAT THE DRINKING FOUNTAINS ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase the following items from Most Dependable Fountains, Inc. 8 Each Drinking Fountain, 410 $2,230.00 $17,840.00 12 Each Safe Stream $ 125.00 $ 1,500.00 2 Each Pet Fountain $ 980.00 $ 1,960.00 2 Each Drinking Fountain, 440 SMFR $3,095.00 $ 6,190.00 1 Each Jug Filler $ 755.00 $ 755.00 1 Each Recessed Hose Bib $ 315.00 $ 315.00 1 Each Lock Door/Hose Bid $ 65.00 $ 65.00 1 Each Freight $ 850.00 $ 850.00 Total $29,475.00 WHEREAS, the drinking fountains being purchased match existing fountains already installed and the Most Dependable Fountains is the exclusive distributor of the existing and proposed products to be purchased and as such is considered a sole source under Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.022 (a). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase of the drinking fountains as listed above for a total not to exceed $29,475.00. Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps necessary to consummate the purchase of said products. Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 6th day of November, 2007.
