A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF
TURBIDIMETERS FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT;
DETERMINING THAT THE TURBIDIMETERS ARE
AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase the following items from the
Hach Company
14 Each 1720E Turbidimeters
w/SC 100 Controller $2,042.29/Ea
Total $28,592.06
; and
WHEREAS, the turbidimeters being purchased are only compatible with the current
network in place at the City of Grapevine Water Treatment Plant and the Hach Company
is the exclusive manufacturer of proposed turbidimeters to be purchased and as such is
considered a sole source under Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B,
Section 252.022 (a).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the turbidimeters as listed above for a total not to exceed $28,592.06.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said products.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of December, 2007.
