A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TO RATIFY THE PURCHASE OF
ELEVATOR UPGRADE SERVICES FROM THYSSENKRUPP
ELEVATOR COMPANY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase elevator upgrade services
described as: upgrade of software and controller system to the elevator at City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the services will be purchased from ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company
through a contract established with The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN); and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by Title 7, Chapter 791, Sub Chapter C of the State
Government Code to establish an Interlocal Agreement with The Cooperative Purchasing
Network (TCPN) to purchase goods and services from contracts established by The
Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN); and
WHEREAS, in order to preserve and protect the public's safety and in order to
reduce the disruption of service to City Hall, Staff felt it was in the best interest of the City
to place the order with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company to insure delivery within the lead
time to acquire parts and schedule the services by ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine ratifies the purchase of
elevator upgrade services from ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company for a total cost not to
exceed $22,982.72.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of March, 2008.
