A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF AN OPTICAL
ZOOM PAN AND TILT CAMERA SYSTEM; DETERMINING
THAT THE CAMERA SYSTEM IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM
ONE SOURCE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas desires to purchase an optical zoom pan
and tilt camera system as follows:
1 Each Cues, Inc. OZII Camera System $27,663.00
WHEREAS, the camera system has been determined to only work with existing
video equipment currently in place at the City; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.022 (a) (7) (D) states that items that are only available from one source
due to captive replacement parts or components for equipment is an exception to the
State bidding requirement; and
WHEREAS, Renfro Equipment and Supplies is the sole dealer in Texas for Cues,
Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to purchase the
containers for a total amount not to exceed $27,663.00.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of November, 2006.
