A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNATE TO PURCHASE
FLEET VEHICLES THROUGH ESTABLISHED INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Government Code, Chapter 791, Sub
Chapter B, 791.011 (A) (1) to enter into a cooperative purchasing program agreement with
other qualified entities in the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the State Building and Procurement Commission and Tarrant County
Texas are qualified purchasing cooperative programs as authorized by Texas Government
Code, Chapter 791, Sub Chapter B, 791.011 (A) (1); and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, has established Interlocal Agreements
with the State Building and Procurement Commission and Tarrant County Texas and
wishes to utilize established contracts meeting all State of Texas bidding requirements;
and
WHEREAS, the State Building and Procurement Commission and Tarrant County
Texas have established contracts with Sam Packs Five Star Ford and Baby Jack Auto
Group, dba Caldwell Country Chevrolet for the vehicles and at the pricing as listed in the
attached list of vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the vehicles from Sam Packs Five Star Ford and Baby Jack Auto Group, dba Caldwell
Country Chevrolet for a total cost not to exceed $144,777.00 as shown in the attached
Exhibit "A".
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said vehicles.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
Iowa passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 17th day of July, 2007.

*Two of the Crown Victoria's are replacement vehicle's (replaces units 9212 and 9234) and
two are new units added to the fleet as approved for purchase in this fiscal year's budget.
**The suburban includes an additional $13,200.00 approved for upgrades and equipment that
was not in the original budget.

See the following replacement summary sheets for description, age, mileage, repair and
maintenance costs of the vehicles to be replaced.
