RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF AN AUTOMATIC
VEHICLE LOCATOR SYSTEM; DETERMINING THAT THE
SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE UNDER THE GENERAL SERVICES
ADMINISTRATION FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase the following automatic
vehicle locator system from GeoComm, Inc. under the United States General Services
Administration Federal Supply Schedule as follows:
1 Each In -Vehicle Mapping System $33,185.35
1 Each AVL LynxTrack Mapping Module $18,891.14
1 Each AVL Interface $12,840.00
1 Each Interface Development Services $ 8,353.84
Total ............ ........................................ $73,270.33
WHEREAS, GeoComm, Inc. is an authorized GSA contractor under the current GSA
contract number GS -35F -0594S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the automatic vehicle locator system as listed above for a total not to exceed
$73,270.33.
Section 3. That the City Manger, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said system.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of August, 2007.
