Guardian Construction
pricing. Since State statutes will not allow a bid price to be changed after the bid
opening, staff recommends that this bid not be considered for an award. Staff then
met with the second lowest bid from Guardian Construction. Guardian reviewed the
work site and specifications with CVB Staff and they indicate that they can perform
the required work for the amount bid, including the brush painting requirement. In
addition, staff checked references for Guardian Construction and all references
indicated that the company had completed satisfactory work for each referenced
project.
Staff recommends approval of an award to Guardian Construction for the painting
services in the total amount of $24,922.00.
