HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2006-023 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS APPROVING THE WAIVER OF PERMIT FEES AND PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TAXES (PILOT) FEES TO ASSIST THE GRAPEVINE HOUSING AUTHORITY IN ITS APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CAPITAL FUND PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, The Grapevine Housing Authority is applying to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for participation in the Capital Fund Program (CFP); and WHEREAS, as part of the application process, the Grapevine Housing Authority must seek commitment from individuals or organizations that will provide additional resources to complement or supplement the work being requested; and WHEREAS, the Grapevine Housing Authority is requesting the City of Grapevine to waive permit fees for contractors during the period of funding by HUD; and WHEREAS, The Housing Authority further requests the City of Grapevine to waive Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) fees during the CFP activities (approximately five years) in order to help finance needed improvements to the Grapevine Housing Authority facilities and assist with operating expenses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble to this resolution are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City of Grapevine waives all contractor permit fees for the Grapevine Housing Authority while participation in the Capital Fund Program (CFP). Section 3. That the City of Grapevine waives the Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) fees during the five year CFP period. Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of March, 2006.
