HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2006-027 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-27 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS CONCURRING IN THE STATE'S INTENTION TO REMOVE SPUR 103 FROM THE STATE SYSTEM AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the State of Texas has constructed and maintained Spur 103 as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the State of Texas has determined that said Spur 103 is no longer needed for the operation of the state highway system; and WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has requested that the State remove said roadway from the State System; and WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has committed to assume the maintenance responsibilities of said roadway. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the State's Spur 103 shown on the attached Exhibit "A" is no longer needed for use in the operation of the State System. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas concurs in the State's plan to remove the roadway from the State System in accordance with the established laws and regulations of the State of Texas. Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas commits to assume maintenance responsibilities for the roadway segment. Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of April, 2006.
