A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TO RATIFY THE PURCHASE OF
PORTABLE AND MOBILE RADIOS FROM MOTOROLA
INCORPORATED AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase portable and mobile radios
as described below; and
WHEREAS, due to compatibly with existing equipment, Motorola Incorporated is the
sole provider of the following equipment:
10 Each Portable XTS500 Radios with software and accessories
2 Each Mobile XLT 5000 Radios with software and accessories
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, Section 252.022 (a) (7) (D) to purchase items that are available from only
one source due to captive replacement parts or components for equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas Staff felt it was in the best interest of the
City to place the order with Motorola Incorporated to take advantage of the promotional
savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine ratifies the purchase of
the portable and mobile radios from Motorola incorporated for a total cost not to exceed
$34,866.20.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of July, 2006.
