HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2005-019 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNATE TO PURCHASE 27 DIGITAL MOBILE VIDEO SYSTEMS THROUGH AN ESTABLISHED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE HOUSTON/GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of Texas and as such is empowered by Texas Local Government Code, Section 271.102 to enter into a cooperative purchasing program agreement with other qualified entities in the State of Texas; and WHEREAS, the Houston/Galveston Area Council is a qualified entity as authorized by Section 271.101 of the Texas Local Government Code; and WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, has an established Interlocal Agreement with the Houston/Galveston Area Council and wishes to utilize established contracts meeting all State of Texas bidding requirements; and WHEREAS, the Houston/Galveston Area Council has established a contract with Kustom Signals, Inc. for the following: Qty. Description Unit Cost Total Cost 27 Ea Digital Eyewitness NXT Systems $ 5,609.00 $151,443.00 1 Ea Digital Eyewitness Media Manager $40,039.00 $ 40,039.00 1 Ea Shipping & Handling $ 1,580.00 $ 1,580.00 1 Ea HGAC Fee $ 2,932.00 $ 2,932.00 1 Ea Rebate Program ($21,600.00) ( $21,600.00) Total $174,394.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase of the digital mobile video systems from Kustom Signals, Inc. for a total cost not to exceed $174,394.00. Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps necessary to consummate the purchase of said digital mobile video systems. Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of April, 2005.
