HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2002-043 RESOLUTION NO. 2002-43 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A FILING OF A PROJECT APPLICATION WITH THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (NCTCOG) FOR A REGIONAL SOLID WASTE PROGRAM LOCAL PROJECT; AUTHORIZING LARRY WILHELM TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE APPLICATION; AND PLEDGING THAT IF A PROJECT IS RECEIVED THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE WILL COMPLY WITH THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS OF THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION AND THE STATE OF TEXAS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments is directed by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission to administer solid waste project funds for implementation of the Council Of Governments' adopted regional solid waste management plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine in the State of Texas is qualified to apply for project funds under the Request for Projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That Larry Wilhelm is authorized to request project funding under the North Central Texas Council of Governments' Request for Projects of the Regional Solid Waste Local Project Funding Program and act on behalf of the City of Grapevine in all matters related to the project application and any subsequent project contract and project that may result. Section 2. That if the project is funded, Industrial Strength Composting will comply with the project requirements of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission and the State of Texas. Section 3. The project funds and any project-funded equipment or facilities will be used only for the purposes for which they are intended under the project. Section 4. That activities will comply with and support the adopted regional and local solid waste management plans adopted for the geographical area in which the activities are performed. Section 5. That this resolution becomes effective from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 5th day of November, 2002.
