A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF IRRIGATION
CONTROLLERS AND PARTS; DETERMINING THAT THE
CONTROLLER AND PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY
ONE SOURCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND
DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase irrigation controllers and
parts on an as needed basis as part of the current irrigation system; and
WHEREAS, Interspec is the sole provider of the controllers and parts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of controllers and parts from Interspec on an as needed basis but not to exceed the
annual budget amount of$30,000 for this commodity.
Section 3. That the City Manger, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said controllers and parts.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 3rd day of JUNE, 2003.
