A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF A SELF-CHECK
AND CHECKPOINT SECURITY AND MATERIAL
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE LIBRARY,
DETERMINING THAT THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE FROM
ONLY ONE SOURCE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND
DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase the following equipment and
software from Checkpoint Systems, Inc. as a sole source:
Self-Check and Checkpoint Security and
Material Management System $19,995.
System Installation $ 395.
Freight $ 300.
Total Cost of System $20,690.
and;
WHEREAS, Checkpoint Systems, Inc. is the sole provider of the equipment and
software listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the listed equipment and software for a total not to exceed $20,690.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said Self-Check and Checkpoint Security and
Material Management System.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of September, 2001.
