HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2001-057 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-57 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL GRANTEE STATUS ON BEHALF OF THE NORTHEAST TRANSPORTATION SERVICE (NETS) MEMBER CITIES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AS SIGNATORY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration may only award funds to eligible federal grantees; and WHEREAS, funding for the Northeast Transportation Service (NETS) is dependent upon federal funding for continued operation; and WHEREAS, persons with disabilities and elderly citizens throughout Northeast Tarrant County depend on this service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to apply for federal grantee status on behalf of the Northeast Transportation Service (NETS) member cities.
