A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE RATIFICATION OF STAFF
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A SERVER FOR THE
LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine Library is in need of a server to increase the
storage capability of computer data; and
WHEREAS, Epixtech, Inc. installed the original system and is the only source that
can provide the needed upgrade and configuration; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine considered it necessary to purchase the server
to insure the integrity of the Library data system and in order to insure an August delivery
and installation date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine ratifies and authorizes
the purchase and installation of the server for a total not to exceed $19,171.28.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of July, 2002.
