SUBJECT: COUNCIL MEETING DATES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider changing the time of the October 2, 2012 City Council meeting to
5:00 pm and canceling the January 1, 2013 meeting.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Due to National Night Out on October 2, it is recommended that the City Council change
the time of their first meeting in October to 5:00 pm. This would allow Council time to
conduct their meeting and to participate in the National Night Out neighborhood programs.
The second City Council meeting in October would be held on October 16 as scheduled.
The first City Council meeting in January falls on the New Year holiday, therefore Staff
recommends canceling the January 1, 2013 City Council meeting. The second City
Council meeting in January would be held on January 15 as scheduled.
