A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF A SOFTWARE
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT; DETERMINING THAT THE
SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE IS AVAILABLE FROM ONLY
ONE SOURCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to cover the following software under a
maintenance agreement:
400 Each Novell Netware Node Maintenance
400 Each Groupwise Mailbox Maintenance
350 Each Zenworks Server/Desktop Bundle Maintenance
400 Each Border Manager EE Maintenance
19 Each NDS Corporate Edition Maintenance
50 Each Novell Netware 5.1 and prior Node License
50 Each Groupwise Mailbox License
50 Each Border Manager EE Node License
and;
WHEREAS, the State of Texas Department of Information Resources is the sole
provider of maintenance for the software listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of a maintenance agreement to cover the listed software for a total not to exceed
$34,602.85.
Section 3. That the City Manger, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said maintenance agreement.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of September, 2000.
