A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF LIBRARY
FURNITURE FROM L. B. INTERIORS FOR THE LIBRARY
ADDITION; DETERMINING THAT THE ITEMS ARE
AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, L. B. Interiors, is the current provider for specialized library furniture
and is the sole provider of this type of library furniture that is compatible with the current
system that is installed; and
WHEREAS, City of Grapevine Staff has been unable to locate anyone except L. B.
Interiors who can furnish and install a system that is compatible with the current furniture
system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
and installation of the library furniture from L. B. Interiors not to exceed $164,584.21.
Section 3. That the City Manger, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of the authorized equipment, installation and
training services provided in Section 2.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of September, 2000.
