A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO ESTABLISHING AN ANNUAL
CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF CENTRAL
IRRIGATION CONTROLLERS AND PARTS; DETERMINING
THAT THE CONTROLLERS AND PARTS ARE AVAILABLE
FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND
DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase central irrigation controllers
and parts as shown on the attached quotation from Interspec, Inc. as a sole source; and
WHEREAS, Interspec, Inc. is the sole provider of the equipment listed in the
attached Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
establishment of an annual contract to purchase the listed equipment on an as needed
basis for a total not to exceed the annual budgeted amount of$32,000.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the annual contract.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 5th day of December, 2000.
