HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2001-022 RESOLUTION 2001-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS FOR THE WIDENING OF BUSINESS 114L/LOOP 382 AT THE CHICAGO SOUTHWESTERN RAILROAD CROSSING; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR CONVEYANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine's Thoroughfare Plan reflects Business 114L/ Loop 382 as a Type "B" Major Arterial; and WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has obtained right-of-way (Parcels 1 and 2) and drainage easement (Parcel 2E) by dedication from the abutting property owners for the widening of the existing two lane roadway; and WHEREAS, the State of Texas has requested that the City of Grapevine convey said right of way parcels and easement parcel to the State for the upcoming widening of the railroad bridge across subject state highway and the planned widening of the roadway scheduled for 2003; and WHEREAS, the City has committed its support of the planned widening of the subject roadway and railroad bridge by acquiring the right-of-way specifically for the planned widenings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas. Section 1. That the City Council approves the conveyance of right-of-way (Parcels 1 and 2) and drainage easement (Parcel 2E) obtained by dedication from abutting property owners to the State of Texas for the widening of the Business 114L/ Loop 382 and the railroad bridge. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorize and directed to execute and take all necessary steps to convey the right-of-way parcels to the State of Texas. Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective immediately from and after it's passage and approval by the City Council.
