SUBJECT: WORKSHOP — POTENTIAL STREET PROJECTS
On May 5, Staff presented an update on the Master Thoroughfare Plan. At that time,
Council asked us to bring back any recommended additions or deletions, along with
estimated costs. Attached is a list of the project candidates divided into three categories:
• Streets on the City Thoroughfare Plan yet to be improved to recommended capacity
• Streets in need of major reconstruction
• Street improvements warranting consideration
Should Council direct staff to proceed, costs for any additional G. O. Bond projects (for
example, fire station upgrades/reconstruction) and potential options in 2016 for an election
will follow in a future workshop.

POTENTIALPROJECTS FOR A GO BOND
Heritage Ave; Mustang Rd to SH 26
Construct new four lane divided roadway segment with curb & gutter, underground
drainage, sidewalks and street lighting partially on DFW Property. Approximately
2,400 LF.
Heritage Ave; Bridge & Connections
Construct a new four lane divided roadway section with curb & gutter, underground
drainage, sidewalks and street lighting across Big Bear Creek. Includes connection of
Parr Lane to Heritage Ave from the west. Approximately 2,500 LF.
Roberts Rd; Hall Johnson Rd to Colleyville City Limit
Reconstruct Roberts Rd to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 2,100 LF.
Hughes Rd; SH 121 to Euless Grapevine Rd
Reconstruct Hughes Rd to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 5,100 LF.
Euless Grapevine Rd; SH 360 to Glade Rd
Construct the east one half of roadway between Hughes Rd and Glade Rd. Construct
full pavement width for a four lane pavement section from Hughes Rd to SH 360.
Approximately 3,500 LF.
Wall Street; Main St to Texan Trail
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 1,800 LF.
Wall Street: Main St to Dove Rd
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved four lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 2,500 LF.

Ruth Wall St; NW Hwy to Wildwood Dr
Reconstruct segment of Ruth Wall Rd that is experiencing significant distress in the
concrete pavement due to soil movement. Approximately 2,100 LF.
Dove Loop; Dooley St to Boyd Dr
Reconstruct segment of Dove Loop that is experiencing significant distress in the
pavement due to soil movement and roadway age. Oldest segment of Dove Loop
constructed more than 30 years ago. Staff has had this segment on its list for a couple
of years but have been waiting for the 2015 W & WW Project to complete the waterline
replacement in the corridor before taking any major action. Approximately 1,200 LF.
Dooley St; College St to Wall St
Reconstruct segment of Dooley St that is experiencing significant distress in the
concrete pavement due to soil movement. Approximately 1,800 LF.
Boyd Dr; Dove Loop to NW Hwy
Reconstruct asphalt roadway to address pavement failures in another old roadway.
Primary route for Fire Dept emergency runs from Station # 1. Approximately 1,800 LF.
Baze Rd; Hughes Rd to Glade Rd
Reconstruct concrete roadway to address pavement failures in an old four lane divided
roadway. Approximately 2,800 LF.
Fairway Drive Improvements
Widening of Fairway Drive from SH 26 to Cowboys GC Entrance. In conjunction with a
dual left turn from SH 26 to Fairway Dr, these improvements should improve the
operation of the current left turn and provide a significant Length of 2 lane NB roadway
with a required merge before the Dam. Approximately 2,500 LF.
Hudgins St Widening and Re -alignment; Main St to Dooley St
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Re-routing of roadway at east end
to tie into Dooley St. Approximately 1,500 LF.

Kimball Rd; Meadowmere Dr to Silvercrest Ln
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 3,500 LF.
Kimball Rd; Meadowmere Dr to Dove Rd
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 3,500 LF.
Bushong Rd; Dooley St to Ruth Wall Rd
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 2,400 LF.
Wildwood Dr; Dooley St to Ruth Wall Rd
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Approximately 2,650 LF.
College St; Ball St to Church St
Reconstruct the roadway to an improved two lane pavement section with curb & gutter,
underground drainage, sidewalks and street lighting. Includes improvements to the
crossing of Morehead Branch. Approximately 1,500 LF.
Dove Rd; NW Hwy to Wall St
Reconstruct the roadway and reconfigure the intersection at Wall St to improve flow for
the principal movements. Approximately 650 LF.
Dove Loop; Ruth Wall Rd to SH 26
Extend roadway in a four lane divided configuration from Ruth Wall Rd to SH 26 across
Gaylord Property. Will provide improved operation for Ruth Wall EB & WB traffic to
access SH 26 and SH 121, IH 635 & FM 2499. Approximately 2,000 LF.
