Bid Review and Recommendation
Dear Mr. Brownlee:
On February 14, 2006, City of Grapevine received two (2) sealed bids for the referenced
facilities. These bids have been tabulated and attached to this correspondence for your use.
Deltatek Engineering has reviewed these bid documents and submits the following opinion and
recommendation.
Batted on review of Base Bid submitted by BLASTCO, Inc. and references provided for the
projects of similar scope and magnitude, it is our opinion that low bidder is qualified to perform
this task in accordance with the Renovation Documents. We have also reviewed bid submitted by
Steve Dake Construction and find this document to he non-responsive. Therefore, it is our
recommendation to award the Base Bid to BLASTCO, Inc for lump sum of $160,673.00. it
should be noted that the opinion of probable cost for this project is estimated at $169,142.40.
