SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT -AN-
AREA AGREEMENT WITH CLAN CAMPBELL FOR ROBERTS
ROAD, FROM HALL - JOHNSON ROAD TO BIRCH STREET
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve an
Adopt -An -Area agreement with Clan Campbell for Roberts Road. A copy of the
agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt -A -Road signage would be placed in the park. The total cost of the signage for
this is approximately $50 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance Account 100-
42205- 312 -3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
approved the agreement at their September 22nd meeting. Staff recommends approval
of the agreement.

The City of Grapevine will work with the adopting group to determine the specific
section of roadway to be adopted. Such factors as width of right -of -way, geometrics,
congestion and reduced sight distance of roadways may be considered by the City in
determining what roadways shall be eligible for adoption.
