SUBJECT: PRESENTATION - "ABOVE AND BEYOND" CITIZEN AWARD
TO TREY HENDRIETH
Presentation of the "Above and Beyond" Citizen Award to Trey Hendrieth, a Cannon
Elementary 5th grader for his actions on September 21, 2012. Trey reported a possible
abduction that he witnessed near his bus stop.
On the morning of September 21st, Trey Hendrieth, while waiting for his bus, witnessed a
disturbance between a female and two men in a vehicle. All indications suggested that the
female may have left with the two males against her will. Although there were adult
witnesses to the incident, Trey was the only witness that chose to report the incident. Due
to Trey's initial report and account of the incident, Grapevine Police Officers were able to
identify and speak with the involved parties and were able to determine that the female was
safe.
