SUBJECT: ADOPT-AN-AREA PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of Adopt-An-Area agreement with the following groups:
• Lambertsen Family for Dove Loop, from Main Street to Dooley Street and for the
creek to the west of the Grapevine Cemetery on Dooley Street.
• Talluri Family for Roberts Road, from Hall-Johnson Road to Glade Road
• Grapevine Yoga for West Wall Street, from Main Street to Dove Road
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at the July 16, 2009
meeting. Copies of the agreements are attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at the project area for the program. The cost of
the signage is approximately $450 and would come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreements are for a period of two years and requires the applicants to
pick up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
and staff recommend approval of the agreement

The creek area than runs north of Dove Loop and ends at Inland Road. This represents about 500
yards of a creek that flows into Lake Grapevine. The area is partially owned by the Silver Lake
Estates and Villas HOA, the above Organization, and the Grapevine Cemetery. I believe that I can
obtain permission to keep the other owners' areas clean. Alt4natively we could maintain the stretch
of Dove Loop between Main Street and Dooley.
