APPROVAL FOR THE RENEWAL OF A SOFTWARE
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR THE LIBRARY
City Council to consider approval to renew the current service and maintenance contract
covering software, server and peripheral maintenance for the library information system
through SirsiDynix, Inc. The total cost of this agreement is not to exceed $20,850.94.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account 100-44540-101-2 (GeneralFund/ Professional Services/
Technology) $20,850.94.
BACKGROUND:
This procurement will be made as a sole source in accordance with Local Government
Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.022 (A). Council originally approved a
resolution considering this a sole source vendor and approving a contract with the
vendor on October 19, 2010.
This request is to renew the current maintenance agreement to support the software
modules that operate as part of the library information software system. SirsiDynix, Inc.
is the current supplier of the software, server, peripheral modules and equipment.
SirsiDynix, Inc. is the sole provider of maintenance for these items. The renewal contract
is for one year from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.
Staff recommends approval to renew the current service and maintenance contract
covering software, server and peripheral maintenance for the library information system.
The total cost of this agreement is not to exceed $20,850.94.
