CHESAPEAKE ENERGY
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff has received a request from Chesapeake Energy requesting a one-year extension to
their previously approved Special Use Permit SU08-09 to allow gas well drilling and
production in a nonresidential zoning district to expire on October 21, 2010.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Special Use Request SU08-04 was originally considered and approved at the October 21,
2008 joint public hearing. The site is located at 1048 East Wall Street and platted as Lot 1,
Block 1, Airport Crossing JV Addition.

Mr. Stambaugh:
Chesapeake Operating, Inc. respectfully requests that zoning case SU08-04 be
extended an additional year from its' October 21, 2009 expiry. We are currently
scheduled to drill on this location, and are working with the City of Grapevine to address
all outstanding comments that pertain to the issuance of our drilling permits. If there is
anything else you need to facilitate this request, please let me know.
