Tate as the City of Grapevine's representative for the Texas High Speed Rail & Transportation Corporation (THSRTC). The City will also appoint two alternate contacts from the City Council; Mike Lease and Chris Coy. • BACKGROUND: At the April 1, 2009, City Council Workshop, the Council agreed to Grapevine's membership in the Corporation. As a part of our membership, the City appoints a primary liaison to act on behalf of the City. The THSRTC is a new grassroots organization whose members represent a broad coalition of cities, counties and rail districts and other entities in order to ensure that the system advocated by the Corporation fully represents and reflects the needs and desires of every Texan. The Corporation's four quarterly meetings are hosted by THSRTC Executive Director Ark-Tex Council of Governments members. The annual meeting is hosted annually by the City of Irving in Tom Wilkinson,Jr. Executive Director conjunction with the Annual Transportation and Infrastructure Summit. The next Brazos Valley Council of Governments THSRTC quarterly meeting will be held in Little Rock,Arkansas on June 17-18.
