SUBJECT: ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEM
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to elect a Mayor Pro Tern for 2009-2010 and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
City Charter, Section 3.05 provides that the City Council, at its first meeting after election of
City Council, shall elect one of its number as Mayor Pro Tern and he or she shall perform
all of the duties of the Mayor, in the absence or disability of the Mayor.
