SUBJECT: HISTORIC TOWNSHIP DISTRICT BOUNDARY EXTENSION
RECOMMENDATION:
The Convention & Visitors Bureau Historic Preservation Staff recommends that the City
Council table the proposed extension of the existing Historic Township District Boundary
to the December 6, 2011 City Council meeting.
BACKGROUND -INFORMATION:
At the November 1st meeting of the City Council, the proposed Historic Township
District Boundary extension that would include fourteen properties east of the current
boundary was tabled to the November 15th City Council meeting. This was done to fulfill
Council's request that all property owners be notified of the proposed change to the
existing Historic Township District.
Two of the fourteen properties are condominium buildings, one with 12 owners and the
other with five owners. The result was that 29 property owners would need to be
notified. In order to allow adequate time for property owner response, it is Staff's
recommendation to table the item to December 6, 2011.
