FUNDING SOURCE: Allied Waste Services, Inc. will incur all direct costs associated with delivery, implementation and data collection during the Cart Recycling Pilot Program. BACKGROUND: The proposed pilot program is an opportunity to asses Grapevine citizens' reaction to roll out carts. The program involves approximately 2,200 homes and will help determine if the residents like the carts; if the carts increase the amount of material being recycled; if the carts cut down on the amount of litter blown around on windy days; and if there are unforeseen problems that will need to be addressed if a full rollout program is considered.
