CITIZEN COMMENTS
1. Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Board under
Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance
Request form with the City Secretary. A member of the public may address the
Board regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board’s
consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Presiding Officer or upon
the consent of the Board. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the
Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments.
PUBLIC HEARING
2. Conduct a public hearing relative to the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Crime Control and
Prevention District Budget.
NEW BUSINESS
3. Consider Resolution No. CCPD 2022-001 approving the City of Grapevine Crime
Control and Prevention District Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget and take any
necessary action.
4. Consider the minutes of the September 7, 2021 Board meeting and take any
necessary action.

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the City of Grapevine, Texas met on
this the 6thday of September, 2022 in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, 200
South Main Street, with the following Board members present:
William D. Tate Presiding Officer

Paul Slechta Board Member

constituting a quorum, and the following members of the City Staff:

Greg Jordan Chief Financial Officer
Mike Hamlin Police Chief
Tim Hall Assistant Police Chief
CALL TO ORDER
Presiding Officer William D. Tate called the meeting to order at 7:21 p.m.
Item 1. Citizen Comments
No one spoke during Citizen Comments.
PUBLIC HEARING
Item 2. Conduct a public hearing relative to the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Crime Control and
Prevention District Budget.
Presiding Officer Tate opened the public hearing.
Chief Financial Officer Greg Jordan presented this item to the Board in conjunction with
Item 3. Chief Financial Officer Jordan reported the Fiscal Year 2022 budget changed
12.4% with revenues and expenditures increasing by $2,354,045 million.
Police Chief Mike Hamlin answered questions from the Board.
No one spoke during the public hearing and there was no correspondence to report.
Motion was made to close the public hearing.

Nays: None

NEW BUSINESS
Item 3. Consider Resolution No. CCPD 2021-001 approving the City of Grapevine Crime
Control and Prevention District Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget and take any necessary
action.
Chief Financial Officer Jordan presented this item during the presentation of Item 2.
Motion was made to approve Resolution No. CCPD 2022- 001 approving the Crime
Control and Prevention District Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget.

Ayes: Tate, Freed, Rogers, Coy, O’Dell, Slechta, and Leal
Nays: None
Approved: 7-0
Item 4. Consider the minutes of the September 7, 2021 meeting and take any necessary
action.
Motion was made to approve the minutes as provided.

Nays: None
