SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT-AN-AREA
AGREEMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve
Adopt-An-Area agreements with Mad Duck Cyclery for Dove Loop, from Dove Road to
Dooley Street and with Dave Buhr, CFP, for Hall-Johnson Road, from State
Highway 121 to Parr Road. Copies of the agreements are attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of
the signage for this is approximately $300 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreements are for a period of two years and require the applicants to
pick up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
and staff recommend approval of the agreements.

APPLICATION FOR ADOPT-A-ROADWAY PROGRAM
The City of Grapevine will work with the adopting group to determine the specific
section of roadway to be adopted. Such factors as width of right-of-way, geometrics,
congestion and reduced sight distance of roadways may be considered by the City in
determining what roadways shall be eligible for adoption.
