CALL TO ORDER
Conduct a public hearing relative to Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Crime Control and
Prevention District Budget and take any necessary action.

2. Consider the minutes of the September 11, 2012 meeting and take any necessary
action.

CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD
The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the City of Grapevine, Texas met on
this the 3rd day of September, 2013 at 7:25 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Second
Floor, 200 South Main Street, with the following Board members present to -wit:
William D. Tate
C. Shane Wilbanks
Sharron Spencer
Darlene Freed
Mike Lease

constituting a quorum, with Board Member Roy Stewart absent, with the following members
of the City Staff:

Presiding Officer Tate called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Presiding Officer Tate declared the public hearing open.
Administrative Services Director John McGrane reviewed the Crime Control and Prevention
District Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 budget noting that expenditures and revenues are equal at
$13,730,075. The one half cent sales tax from the Crime Control and Prevention District
funds the police department and as in past years, a transfer has been required to make up
for lost sales tax income. This year's transfer is $1,175,000. The final action on the
budget will be taken at a special meeting on September 10, 2013 at Noon.
Presiding Officer Tate invited guests present to speak regarding the proposed budget. No
one wished to speak and there was no correspondence to report.
Board Member Spencer, seconded by Board Member Coy, offered a motion to close the
public hearing. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

Nays: None
Absent: Stewart
ITEM 2. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
City Secretary Jodi Brown recommended approval of the minutes of the September 11,
2012 Crime Control and Prevention District Board meeting as published.
Board Member Wilbanks, seconded by Board Member Lease, offered a motion to approve
the minutes as published. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Wilbanks, Spencer, Freed, Lease & Coy
Nays: None
Absent: Stewart

Board Member Lease, seconded by Board Member Freed, offered a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 7:33 p.m. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Wilbanks, Spencer, Freed, Lease & Coy
Nays: None
