Consider a resolution approving the City of Grapevine Crime Control and
Prevention District Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Budget and take any necessary action.
2. Consider the minutes of the September 3, 2013 Board meeting and take any
necessary action.

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the City of Grapevine, Texas met on
this the 10th day of September, 2013 at Noon in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor,
200 South Main Street, with the following Board members present to -wit:
William D. Tate President
C. Shane Wilbanks Board Member
Sharron Spencer Board Member
Mike Lease Board Member
Chris Coy Board Member
constituting a quorum, with Board Members Roy Stewart and Darlene Freed absent, with
the following members of the City Staff:
Bruno Rumbelow
City Manager
Jennifer Hibbs
Assistant City Manager
Matthew Boyle
Assistant City Attorney
Jodi C. Brown
City Secretary
John McGrane
Administrative Services Director
CALL TO ORDER
Presiding Officer Tate called the meeting to order at 12:07 p.m.
ITEM 1. RESOLUTION, APPROVE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION
DISTRICT FISCAL YEAR 2013-2014 BUDGET
Administrative Services Director John McGrane requested approval of a resolution
approving the Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District Fiscal Year 2013-2014
budget. The FY2014 budget proposal is $13,730,075.00. The Board adopted the same
fiscal year as the City and is required to adopt a budget for the new fiscal year prior to
October 1, 2013. Revenues and expenditures are both projected at $13,730,075.00.
Included in the budget is a recommended 3% merit increase for general employees and a
5% step increase for public safety employees.
After approval by the Board, the budget will be included in the City Council's annual budget
for Fiscal Year 2014.
Board Member Coy, seconded by Board Member Lease, offered a motion to approve the
resolution adopting the Crime Control and Prevention District Fiscal Year 2013-2014
budget. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

ITEM 2. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
City Secretary Brown recommended approval of the minutes of the September 3, 2013
Crime Control and Prevention District Board meeting as published.
Board Member Wilbanks, seconded by Board Member Lease, offered a motion to approve
the minutes as recommended. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Wilbanks, Spencer, Lease & Coy
Nays: None
Absent: Stewart & Freed
Board Member Coy, seconded by Board Member Lease, offered a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 12:10 p.m. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Wilbanks, Spencer, Lease & Coy
Nays: None
Absent: Stewart & Freed
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION
