APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF RFB 410 -2013 FOR
WASTEWATER VALVES AND ACTUATORS
City Council to consider approval for the award of RFB 410 -2013 for wastewater
treatment valves and actuators to Process Solutions.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account 200 - 43370 -534 -0 (PCMF Wastewater Utility Fund) for an
amount not to exceed $50,843.00.
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The bid was advertised in the Fort
Worth Star Telegram on August 15 and 22, 2013. There were 165 vendors electronically
notified of the bid through the eBid system. Three vendors submitted bids. The bids
were opened electronically and publicly on September 3 at 2:00 p.m.

Process Solutions $50,843.00
Controls International, Inc. $70,752.00
Cohn & Gregory, Inc. $91,966.50
Process Solutions is the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant utilizes valves that control airflow to maintain proper
treatment of wastewater for the city. These valves have reached their useful life
expectancy and need to be replaced. The valves and actuators that have been
specified, will assist in controlling airflow to various part s
consistent flow while maintaining a high quality treatment
provided references of other municipalities that have
successful results for an exact application. Products that
providing meets or exceeds the specifications outlined in
products offer good craftsmanship and warranty.
