HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Meeting 06-07-20239HZM M 111001 =1201-111 The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 7th day of June, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Grapevine Animal Services, 500 Shady Brook Dr., Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the following members present to -wit: Tim Hall Chair, Grapevine Police Department Joy Mayo Member, Grapevine Citizen Sherri Olsen Member, Grapevine Citizen Corey Price Member, Animal Welfare Representativ6 Nancy Snyder Member, Grapevine Citizen Dr. Jason Steinle Member, Veterinarian Kristina Valentine Member, Grapevine Animal Services constituting a quorum, and the following liaison present: Duff O'Dell, Grapevine City Council CALL TO ORDER Tim Hall called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. ITEM 1. CITIZEN COMMENTS No citizen comments submitted. ITEM 2. CONSIDER ITS Minutes for March 1, 2023 were considered. Nancy Snyder offered a motion to approve, and Jason Steinle seconded. All in favor. 7-0. ITEM 3. REVIEW OF STATISTICS Statistics were reported as follows. No action taken by the committee. GENERAL OPERATIONS UPDATE The in-house veterinarian and equipment will be achieved in the FY 2023 budget. Our contract for the veterinary staff will go on City Council agenda by fall. We need the vet license to order the equipment so it will be on the agenda after that point. The committee was given an update on operations. No action was taken. ITEM 5. PAST AND UPCOMING EVENTS PAWS by Reading events through the summer Cat Caf6 with the Library Clear the Shelters is the month of August Paws and Pastries in July with Parks and Rec Field trips for Rec Center this summer Main Street Festival booth was successful and we look forward to GrapeFest Holiday Items: Pictures with Santa with donations to shelter, donation drive for holidays Review of next meeting date No action taken by the committee. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Committee, Sherri Olsen offered a motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:07 p.m. and Nancy Snyder seconded.
