ADJOURNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17 , V.A.T.C.S. , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 1ST DAY OF APRIL, 1988. S ACT NG DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Open Space Committee for the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular session April 6, 1988, at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, #205, 307 West Dallas Road, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present to wit: Bill Martin Acting Chairman Ron Cook Member Mark Mailes Member Also present was guest, George Fields, representing the David Bagwell Company, and the following City Staff to wit: H. T. (Tommy) Hardy Director of Community Development Marcy Ratcliff Planner Gerrie Taylor Administrative Secretary CALL TO ORDER Acting Chairman, Bill Martin, called the meeting to order at approximately 4:30 P.M. Crif CONSIDERATION OF THE FEBRUARY 3, 1988 MINUTES Ron Cook made a motion to approve the February 3, 1988 minutes. Bill Martin seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Martin, Cook, Mailes Nays: None Absent: None ACTION ITEMS STONEGATE PHASE I ADDITION Open Space for the Stonegate Phase I Addition, has been under discussion for several months due to discussion on whether Summerfield Drive would be extended which would have affected the parks present location. George Fields stated that the size of the park has changed but the location and general figuration is the same. He explained that most of the park is located in the 1st phase of the Stonegate Addition which includes 30,000 square feet. The other 1,800 square feet is located in 411W Phase II of Stonegate Addition. Mr. Fields also explained how the utilities will be installed around the large pecan tree which sits at the south end of the park land. Also at the entrance of the park will be a stone and iron fence with a gate. Mark Mailes stated that there was plenty of room for playground equipment to be installed in the future. With no further discussion, Ron Cook moved that City Council approve the Open Space Committee's recommendation for Stonegate Park as presented by George Field, of the David Bagwell Company. MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS AND/OR DISCUSSION There was discussion on having the City Council appoint Bill Martin as Chairman for the Open Space Committee. ADJOURNMENT With no further discussion, Ron Cook made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bill Martin seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Martin, Cook, Mailes Nays: None The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 P.M.
