SUBJECT: ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO-TEM
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to elect a Mayor Pro-Tem for 1999-2000 and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
City Charter, Section 3.05 provides that "the City Council, at its first meeting after election
of City Council, shall elect one of its number as Mayor Pro-Tern and he or she shall
perform all of the duties of the Mayor, in the absence or disability of the Mayor".
