CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — DALLAS ROAD PARKING LOT
City Council consider awarding a Construction Contract to Richard Carr Construction
Company for the construction of the Dallas Road Parking Lot in the bid amount of
$223,318.68, authorize staff to execute said contract, and take any necessary action.

BACKGROUND:
Turner Collie and Braden Inc. has prepared plans for the proposed Dallas Road Parking
Lot. The project consists of:
• Construction of approximately 5,610 square yards of 7" thick reinforced concrete
pavement including 93 standard, 5 bus and 5 handicapped parking spaces.
• Modification of an inlet to intercept storm water from the parking lot before entering
Dallas Road.
• Construction of an island for future extension of the railroad spur, west of the
turntable, and potential storage of rail cars.
Bids were opened on April 21, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. We received 14 bids on this project
