PALACE THEATRE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS AND
TERRACE ADDITION
Staff recommends City Council rescind the structural steel erection contract previously
awarded to Vector in the amount of $31,800 and award the same contract to Lone Star
Steel, include the Add/Alternate Terrace to the Palace Theatre Project, authorize staff to
execute said contracts, and take any other necessary action.

As a result of a staff error on the original memo, Vector was awarded the contract for
structural steel erection. However, Vector is a tile company (not a structural steel
company) and was awarded the contract for the tile installation. Lone Star Steel is the
vendor that supplied the lowest and best bid on the structural steel contract.
