FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are currently available in the Water Plant Force Main Account No. 200 -48930- 534 -1 -000003 -WA as follows: FY1995 Utility Bond Interest $ 50,000 Budget Design Contingency TOTAL BACKGROUND: $ 38,000 76% $ 12,000 24% $ 50,000 100% The Water Treatment Plant filter backwash water and the Grapevine Municipal Golf Course wastewater is collected at the WTP Lift Station and then pumped east to the Hilton Lift Station. The proposed development of the 53+ acre tract (Cumberland Fund) east of the DFW Hilton on SH 26 includes a large lift station within its boundaries. This proposed lift station location will allow the wastewater collected at the water plant from the backwash filters and the golf course to be served by a gravity line. This gravity line will allow the City to remove the lift station at the plant and reduce the length of force main in the City by approximately 2,000 LF. March 29, 2000 (1:47PM) The contract proposal addresses the design of the new gravity line to replace the old WTP force main. Staff recommends approval.
