A bid tabulation is attached. Annual contract expenditures will be limited to the annual budgeted amount shown below. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the FY2000 budget in accounts - 174 -43301-090 Street Maintenance/Transportation/Maint. & Overlay ...... $40,000.00 174-43301-091 Street Mai ntenance/Transportation/Curb & Gutter .......... $25,000.00 BACKGROUND: Bids were initially presented to Council on February 17, 1998 and renewed by Council on April 6, 1999 (see attached agenda memo). The original bid allows for renewal of the contract on an annual basis for two additional one-year periods. The original contract pricing will be held during the renewal period. This is the second and last renewal for this contract. This vendor has successfully performed this service to the City and it is recommended that an award be made to Randall & Blake as primary contractor and Aslin Asphalt as secondary contractor. Staff recommends approval. CD March 17, 2000 (&05AM) The second low bid from Lion Apparel should also be rejected due to the same reasons stated above. Lion Apparel is the manufacturer of the clothing that was bid by Wilson Fire and this bid contained the same exceptions listed in the Wilson Fire bid. Staff recommends that the award be made to Casco Industries which is the lowest bid meeting all specifications.
